1. 2025 Production and Viticultural Profile
The 2025 harvest season across the Urla Peninsula encompassed 120 hectares of prime vineyards, featuring approximately 513,000 vines. From a total harvest of 468 tons of grapes, the region achieved a net production of 273,000 liters of wine. Our viticultural philosophy remains steadfastly rooted in the “château-style” approach, prioritizing quality over volume and maintaining a strict “low yield, high quality” principle.
The 2025 vintage reflects a sophisticated mosaic of international and indigenous varieties. Alongside noble grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Grenache, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, our unique local heritage—Bornova Misketi, Urla Karası, Foça Karası, Öküzgözü, and Boğazkere—continues to thrive within our production cycle. These vineyards, spanning from sea level to 800 meters in altitude, benefit from a distinct terroir characterized by clay-limestone and non-saline soil structures. Standardized practices including VSP (Vertical Shoot Positioning), north-south row orientation, and double cordon (Guyot) training ensured optimal fruit health and homogeneous ripening throughout the season.
